Beach Cleanup This Weekend

It is time to clean Euclid Beach for September. Come on out this Saturday and help improve the appearance of the beach and lake water quality. Over 100 different volunteers have joined in this initiative. How about you too?

Here is an update from Stephen Love, Volunteer Coordinator for the Cleanup Efforts shared the following:

On Saturday August 21st, volunteers from Fifth Third Bank, Baldwin-Wallace College, John Carroll University, The Friends of Euclid Creek, The Cleveland Institute of Art and The City of South Euclid came together to clean and screen Euclid Beach Park! For our August cleanup, we collected close to 78 pounds of trash including 212 cigar tips, 179 plastic bottles, 149 caps/lids and much more!

Please be sure to join us for our next Beach Cleanup on Saturday September 25th from 10am-12pm at Euclid Beach Park as part of Ohio’s Coastweeks Celebration and the International Coastal Cleanup Day! Information on Coastweeks is available at: http://www.lakeerie.ohio.gov/Coastweeks.aspx
