Last Chance to clean the Beach!

Tomorrow is your last chance to make Euclid Beach beautiful in 2010!

Come on out and support Case Western Reserve students, get some free pizza, and help the environment.

Our favorite Cleanup Coordinator, Stephen Love, says:

On Saturday October 16th 2010, students from The Brush High School Key Club, Villa Angela St. Joseph High School, Baldwin-Wallace College, community members and organizations came together to clean and screen Euclid Beach! This beach cleanup was particularly special because it marked our Adopt-a-Beach Team’s first year anniversary and with close 45 volunteers, it was also our largest beach cleanup to date! Not to mention, when all was said and done, we managed to collect over 155 pounds of trash and 54 pounds of recyclables! Among our most collected items, we found 617 cigar tips, 445 pieces of plastic and 285 plastic caps and lids to name only a few!

We hope you join the Euclid Beach Adopt-a-Beach Team one last time for the 2010 season on Saturday November 13th 2010 from 10am-12pm and if you cannot make it then, we will resume beach cleanups in March 2011! Remember, our Great Lakes constitute over 1/5 of the earth's fresh surface water so let’s take care of them while we still have the chance!
