The
application form and guidelines are now available for the second round of the
Artists in Residence grants. musicians, writers, photographers and other
artists can submit applications for projects that address 1 of 4 priorities:
telling the story of neighborhood residents, raising the visibility of
neighborhood assets or addressing public safety or youth engagement. We’ll be
distributing $45,000 in this round, with awards of up to $7,500 per projectYou
must live in North Shore Collinwood or work at least 15 hours a week in the
neighborhood.
To
apply: Submit an application for the program to the Northeast Shores office
(317 East 156th Street) by the deadline – Friday, August 17, at 4:00 p.m. You
can access the application online at www.cultureforward.org/Our-Programs/Residence/Grants,
or pick up a paper copy from the Northeast Shores office.
Before
submitting your application, check out the program guidelines (www.cultureforward.org/Our-Programs/Residence/Grants).
They’ll give you additional information about the program, plus tips for making
a competitive proposal.
You
might also want to come to a workshop where you can see examples of community
projects from around the country, learn more about the program and ask any
